It is manufactured by EL CID, a company highly favored in Spanish homes and restaurants, and you've likely seen them during trips to Spain. The red handle, EL CID's trademark, enhances your cooking and makes for a stylish presentation right on the table. Enjoy a taste of Europe in your own home. This steel pan becomes more seasoned with use, leading to more delicious cooking. However, avoid excessive washing. Thanks to the embossed texture on the surface, oil and moisture circulate between the food and the pan, making it difficult for food to stick. By cooking over high heat, you can also achieve the coveted socarraet (crispy bottom layer) that is difficult to create with Teflon pans, a delicacy savored by true connoisseurs. The red handle is also made of steel, so it is oven-safe. You can use it with confidence as it will not melt or peel. While the care instructions differ from current mainstream Teflon pans, this durable pan can last over 10 years with proper post-use maintenance. It is a safe pan exported worldwide, not just in Europe. It has also passed import food inspection tests in Japan. [Usage Precautions] (1) Empty-fry over low heat to burn off the protective oil on the surface. (The oil is applied in Spain to prevent rust.) (2) Immediately remove from heat when white smoke begins to appear and rinse with water. (Overheating during empty-frying can cause black discoloration, so be careful.) (3) It is now ready. Make delicious paella and serve it directly to the table. (4) Moisture is the enemy of cast iron pans. After use, thoroughly wipe off any moisture and then apply a thin layer of oil before storing. Caution: The paella pan will be hot when heated, so always use oven mitts or a kitchen towel and be careful to avoid burns. Material: Steel (Not compatible with IH cooktops) [Product Precautions] Please be aware that EL CID paella pans may have slight scuff marks on the rim due to stacking during transport. This does not affect the quality in any way. Additionally, the sheen and unevenness on the pan's surface are protective oils applied to prevent rust and scratches during transport.
