Product: Nihon Kamitori (Japanese Straight Razor) - Sentosai Condition: Shows signs of wear. Curved blade. Professionally sharpened. Can be used for shaving beards or body hair. Blade length (from heel to tip): Approximately 3.8 cm Overall length: Approximately 14.7 cm Blade width (at widest point): Approximately 1.8 cm Spine height when laid flat on a table (mid-blade): Approximately 0.68 cm Estimated blade angle: arctan(0.68/1.8) = 20.695 degrees Steel: Steel (details unknown) Weight: 31 grams Comments: There are no issues that would affect the edge after sharpening. Sentosai is a well-known brand for scissors, but they also produced razors. It appears they outsourced production at times, as I have seen examples with the Saneyo (実雄) inscription (I haven't heard of Saneyo forging scissors, so these were likely made by a different blacksmith). My impression is that the steel is slightly hard. You'll need to strop it generously, or it might cut your skin.
